You recharge my batteries

Hey, what's up?

Yeah, not much here either.

I mean, I'm really busy, so I guess "a lot" is up, but... it all blurs together, you know? Each day feels so long, with so much stress, and then a month goes by and I'm not sure what happened. I guess that's what "busy" really means.

It makes me look forward to seeing you in Verona Beach, when we can both take a breather and just be in the moment. My blacksmith says I don't literally have "batteries" exactly, but... if I did, you'd be my recharging station. Specifically, your couch, with my arm around you. Peak comfort. When I'm exhausted from a long rehearsal, I just picture it and feel a little bit more energized... though also a little bit more impatient to see you. Sharper, in every sense, you know?

Kitfox devs keep talking about releasing the game "soon", but it can't be soon enough...

The History of Verona Beach

In fact, the latest Kitfox update talks about Verona Beach in particular. It's such a small town it's not really part of our tour, but I grew up there, before my family moved to Seoul. So I like to come back in the summers sometimes, since nobody recognizes me and I can just enjoy the beach or have a coffee like a normal person.

There's also an interview with the composer, Marskye. I think he performs at the local venues sometimes as part of a duo, Marskye & McQueen... I don't usually go out for little local bands but maybe it'd be something fun for us to do together.

I used to love music and spend hours listening to it, before it was my whole professional life. Now I hear a pop chord progression and think, "Oh god, my agent is going to call any minute to ask about that extra crouton on my salad."

That's... more sad than I realized when I started writing it. Hmmm.

I used to play guitar. Maybe I should try picking it up again this summer. I still have it around here somewhere. It'd just need a quick tuning. How do you connect with music?

Up For Some Wholesomeness?

Personally, I usually go for horror or mystery... something dark and thrilling, for the adrenaline. That's part of the appeal of the dunj, for me.

But I've heard a lot of good things about the adorable games the wholesome folks are highlighting in a couple of weeks, as part of a "Wholesome Direct". Could be cozy to watch it together, if you're into it. Or we could play some together. Pet some dogs, catch some fish, whatever makes you happy. I love to see you smile. I'd watch you play all day.
